【About Chizimi Cotton】
・Chizimi Cotton is a cotton crepe fabric produced in Takashima City, Shiga Prefecture, since around the Tenmei era of the Edo period. It is made using strongly twisted weft yarns, creating a distinctive textured surface (shibo) and a crisp feel.
・The textured surface reduces the area in contact with the skin, allowing sweat to be absorbed at points and dispersed across the fabric. It is said to lower the perceived temperature by approximately 2°C.
・Excellent moisture absorption, quick-drying properties, breathability, hygroscopicity, and moisture release.
・Chizimi Cotton, nurtured by the blessings of Lake Biwa, boasts the highest production volume in Japan.
